The ideal candidate is compassionate, conscientious, and experienced in supporting adults with sometimes challenging behaviour. You should be friendly and approachable, sensitive, and fun.
What are the duties?
· Support in facilitating greater access to the community for fun activities
· Support in accessing outdoor spaces for things like nature walks in the local area e.g., Roundhay Park, Golden Acre Park etc
· Support to source and access interests and hobbies
· Helping S. to gain confidence in social situations
Essential Requirements:
· Flexibility towards planned activities
· Positive attitude
· Patience and tolerance towards S.’s interests and habits (loves gaming, chatting and cycling).
· De-escalation techniques to support and reassure S. if he is feeling threatened or challenged.
· Any relevant experience will be considered if the skills can be applied to this role.
