Personal Assistant/Support Worker
Required for active 13 year old boy with Autism, ADHD, severe learning disability and is non-verbal in Bath, BA3, to access the community and offer respite for family.
PA required for 5 hours per week preferably on a Saturday or Sunday and an occasional evening however this can be flexible.
There will also be opportunity for some more hours in the school holidays.
Rate of pay weekday £11.44 per hour, weekend £11.44 per hour.
PA will be lone working and providing support at home and in the community to help build confidence to engage in social activities such as swimming, park etc providing companionship to access the community and encouragement to engage in social activities such as swimming, play parks, Trampoline Park, and the general outdoors.
Requires prompting with toileting and help to clean afterwards.
The ideal candidate will be mature in nature and have experience and understanding of Autism and behavioural issues, and have a calm but firm manner, patience, a good sense of humour and lots of energy.
Car owner essential, PA must have a full, clean UK driving licence. Promoting safety in the community and danger awareness is important.
Role subject to an Enhanced DBS check. This position is initially to cover maternity leave but may lead to a permanent position.
