We’re on the hunt for a male enabler to support a vibrant 38 yr old gentleman with MS in Morpeth who lives and breathes sport, especially his beloved Newcastle United

Support required for 6hrs per week. Hours to be arranged flexibly but ideally it would be 2hrs on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday around late morning/lunchtime.

Driver with access to car and business use insurance required
Hours of work: 6hrs per week
Rates of Pay: £13.09 per hour

Main Duties:

Successful candidate must be comfortable in swimming pool as a big part of this role is to accompany client to the pool to support with his MS rehab and build strength.

Support with accompanying client to medical appointments as well as planning opportunities for other recreational activities such as trips to the cinema or shopping

A passion for sports (bonus points if you know the offside rule) and the ability to keep up with lively conversations about match stats and player transfers is a must.

Further Information: An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate (DBS) will have to be obtained for the successful candidate (at employer’s expense).

Training: Where it is required, such as in Health and Safety matters, practical training and guidance will be arranged and the care worker will be expected to attend.
