To provide support for a teenage boy to enjoy social activities.

Job Details
My son is a talkative and boisterous young man with autism who enjoys attending Explorers (Scouts) but needs a friendly PA to take him and support him to participate in some activities, particularly those which are out and about. His PA will encourage him to join in with events such hiking, canoeing and climbing, keeping him safe and encouraging him to listen and remain calm. He is also very keen on cinema so would like his PA to be able to take him to see films and talk about the movies.
 
Required Characteristics
·      Flexible and reliable
·      Active and interested in participating with activities
·      Experience of children with autism
·      Able to set boundaries and be firm when required
·      Driver with own vehicle and appropriate class of business insurance

Summary terms and conditions
·      The rate of pay for this position is £12.38 per hour 
·      Hours of work: 8 hours monthly, flexible, at times to be agreed at interview with the possibility of extra hours as necessary
·      5.6 weeks per year pro-rata paid leave, inclusive of bank holidays
·      Free training as appropriate for role
 
The post is subject to the following:
·      A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
·      Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months
