Immediate need for two Personal Care Assistants (Male or Female) both required at the same time to provide care and support to a 14-year-old boy with autism. PAs to be able to take this boy out in the community. Family home is in Sacriston, Durham.

6 hours day respite/week during school holidays with 2:1 carer.

£12 hourly rate and negotiable hourly rate for self employed Personal Assistants

The boy you will be supporting is nonverbal, has complex and high sensory needs but does not show aggression towards others. Both carers will be providing one on one interaction, sensory or activity stimulation in community-based activities.

Assisting includes personal hygiene and toileting needs.

He is often a happy, affectionate, gentle youngster who enjoys tickles.

Additional information:
Some experience of working with ASD children would be preferred.

A driving licence with own transport is essential.

An enhanced DBS will be required, the cost will be covered by employer.
