Job description: Social care work opportunity for a Personal Assistant.

Job purpose: Provide support to a lady in her 50's to live independently, assisting with domestic care, personal care, and to access the local community.

Lady enjoys going out singing, and getting involved with craft activities. She is looking for an active listener, and someone who shows care and compassion. Previous care experience preferable, but not essential.

due to personal care aspect of position
-  MUST NOT
have allergies to rabbits and Guinea pigs. 
-  Full clean UK Driving licence
-  Use of own vehicle for work purposes - Must be able to fit manual wheelchair.
-  Need to be physically fit and able to push manual wheelchair. 
-  Able to cook meals
-  Experience with running a home
-  Flexible
-  Reliable
-  Active listener
- Able to work under pressure
- Able to use own initiative
- Good personal skills 

Desirable:

Internet literate

Experience in similar role

Summary Terms and Conditions
  • The rate of pay for this position is £12 p/h.
  • Hours and times of work as follows: Up to 10hrs a week (days and times to be discussed at interview)
  • A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer
  • Completion of a satisfactory probation period of 3 months. 
  •  The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
      -  If this job requires;
       • Manual Handling
       • Handling of hazardous chemicals
       • Food Handling
       You will be required undertake annual training.

The post is subject to the following:
·        - A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
·        -  Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
