I am a disabled family man confined to a wheelchair and I live with my wife and our friendly elderly cat in the centre of Bristol. Currently I work from home, mainly on the computer, and require assistance with all aspects of daily living, including personal care and domestic support.

I have a team of Personal Assistants that carry out varying tasks. They also support me with social activities, family visits and appointment attendance.

I am currently looking for a Personal Assistant for the following hours and tasks:

Sundays: 9pm-10pm at £11.50 per hour

Job description: Assist me with bedtimes - Hoisting from wheelchair (with ceiling track hoist) onto bed, undressing me and on occasions, some washing or bathing.

This post would best suit someone living or working locally to Bristol City Centre. Additional hours at other times and on different days may be available.

It would be advantageous for candidates to have some understanding of the difference between working in someone's home and another workplace setting. I have found it beneficial to meet candidates in person for an informal chat prior to interview.
