To provide support for an active lady with sight and hearing impairments

 

Location: Norwich NR3

 

I am an active and independent lady who enjoys life but due to being profoundly deaf in one ear and severely deaf in the other and also having a severe visual impairment I need a P.A. to assist me. I would like someone to come and spend two full days with me each week, and can be flexible regarding which days depending on what we are doing. I’d like my P.A. to  help ensure that my home is tidy and safe for me to move around, they should be willing to assist with batch cooking, and support me to access the community for appointments and activities (I like to go swimming). I am also interested in starting to learn BSL and it might be good for us to attend classes together if the P.A. is interested. I have a guide dog, so they must be an animal lover.

Summary terms and conditions

 

·       The rate of pay for this position is £12.00per hour (to be confirmed)

 

·       You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role.

 

·       Free Care Skills Training provided to employees.

                                                          

·       Hours and times of work: 14 hours per week (2 X 7hr days) at flexible times depending on activities, to be discussed at interview.

 

·       A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.

 

·       Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.

 

·       Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months.
