Personal care assistant wanted for my daughter £11 p/h - BRISTOL - BS9

Job Reference (069a0242)

I am a father of a 14-year old girl with mild-moderate learning difficulties, plus some physical difficulties, due to myotonic dystrophy.

Because of her occasional incontinence my daughter’s PA needs to be compassionate and competent, helping her keep clean, but alongside this supporting her to develop her own personal care and hygiene skills. My daughter suffers from muscle fatigue and this shows in her facial expression. She can walk for a mile or so, but due to foot drop she presently wears splints (ankle-foot orthoses) to help her walk properly and so she tires out beyond this point.

I would like my daughter’s PA to help me to get our daughter outside for regular activities in our garden (she loves sports like badminton) so that she can remain strong physically and grow her confidence, communication and social skills. It would be welcomed if the PA could help her try new leisure activities too.

Other times, I would welcome some help with e.g. meal preparation and light household tasks.

Thank you for your interest in my advert. I look forward to hearing from you.
