Personal Assistant required for elderly gentlemen in LS15 - LEEDS - LS15

Job title: Personal assistant (PA)

Location: Crossgates, Leeds 15

■ To assist with a variety of tasks which will enable the employer who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.

■ This role involves no live-in or overnight support.

■ To assist him in attending doctors, hospital, optician and dental appointments as necessary.

■ Assisting with personal care such as administering/monitoring of medication and help with dressing.

■ Domestic duties, such as support with grocery shopping, cooking, light cleaning and laundry including a weekly bed change. 

These duties may vary from day to day

■ Values of required person - honest, reliable, punctual with an excellent sense of humour and practical ability.

■ Specific requirements preferred - someone with an understanding of brain injuries and the frustration associated with mobility issues. A person to engage in his interest of gardening and air-rifle shooting would be an advantage.

Monday to Sunday cover required for 2.5 hours per day (17.5h pw).

Rate of pay: 

Mon-Fri £9.43 & Sat-Sun £11.74

■ Driving license and use of a car with appropriate insurance

■ must be able to cook traditional roast dinners and not microwaveable meals
