Hourly Rate - £9.18

Hours per week 9 hours per week to be flexible, Monday to Friday (after school) and weekends. Additional hours during school holidays available.

Holiday Entitlement – 5.6 weeks per annum pro rata

Probationary Period – 3 months

Reports to: parents

Job Purpose

To provide a safe level of care for my teenage son who has learning difficulties thereby providing respite for both Parents. He enjoys bowling playing in the park and adventure playgrounds. He enjoys fairground rides and anything that is related to this! He also enjoys trampoline parks and video games.

Main Duties:

Taking him on short outings in the community to help provide stimulation
Promote communication skills and develop sense of independence away from the family

Essentials

Show initiative and flexibility.
Ensure he is supervised at all times in appropriate activities.
Be sensitive to his needs and feelings.
Communicate well with family and provide feedback to parents.
Attend work punctually and consistently.
Maintain confidentiality at all times.
To be fun and energetic.
Car driver.

To be able to take decisions and make sound judgements.
To manage stress and stay calm under pressure.
To be able to build self esteem while ensuring a safe and secure environment.
