Personal Assistant/Support Worker 

Required for active 9 year old boy with Autism, severe learning disability and is non-verbal in Bath, BA3, to access the community and offer respite for family.

PA required for two sessions a month for a total of 8 hours on a Saturday or Sunday or an occasional evening.  There will also be opportunity for some more hours in the school holidays.  

Rate of pay weekday £9.23 per hour, weekend £9.68 per hour.

PA will be lone working and providing companionship to access the community and encouragement to engage in social activities such as swimming, play parks, Trampoline Park, and the general outdoors.  Requires prompting with toileting and help to clean afterwards.

The ideal candidate will be mature in nature and have experience and understanding of Autism and behavioural issues, and have a calm but firm manner, patience, a good sense of humour and lots of energy.

Car owner preferred but not essential, PA must however have a full, clean UK driving licence. Promoting safety in the community and danger awareness is important.
