Job Purpose:
I am looking for someone to support me when I go out for example to pick up my medication or to the local shop. I am a mobility scooter user so we would usually ‘walk’ to these destinations. I have a brain injury but am quite independent, however, sometimes I get confused and disoriented. Therefore, I need someone who can be clear and concise to help me with understanding the situation. I would also like to go for outings further afield on occasion so I am looking for someone who could take me in the car. Person that likes cats would be preferred because there is a cat in the household

Details
Duties to include:
Preparing light snack lunch
Ensuring the mobility scooter battery is charged
Accompanying me when going out to the community
Ensuring safety when out
Supporting independence
Supporting with social and leisure activities

Summary terms and conditions:
Rate of pay for this position is £15.14 per hour employed and £21.00 per hour self-employed
Annual holiday entitlement is 5.6 weeks per year, pro-rata for part-time employees.
You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as a part of the role
Free Care Skills Training provided to employed staff
Hours and times of work:
Weekly sit one day for 5 hours. Exact day and timing to be advised on successful recruitment which then will become the set day
Post is subject to the following:
A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer
Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer
Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months
