Personal Care Assistant required for disabled woman in Yate, to support with personal care, food preparation and some domestic tasks. Continuity of care is essential for me to continue to live independently.
Shifts required - Monday to Sunday
08:30 – 9:15 (45 minutes)
Morning visit (time non-negotiable) due to having to take medication to control diabetes;
Assist with shower/body wash, apply prescribed creams, dressing, putting on stockings, emptying the commode. Change bedding if required. Prepare lunch and leave in cool bag. Ensure kettle filled and milk is on the table for me to prepare a hot drink. Make sure I am wearing my pendant alarm.
12:00 - 12:30 (30 minutes)
Lunch time visit Support with using the commode and empty as required. Prepare a hot lunch time meal and ensure the kitchen is left tidy. Make sure I am wearing my pendant alarm.
16:15 – 17:00 (45 minutes)
Tea time visit (time non-negotiable) due to having to take medication to control diabetes;
Prepare tea and tidy kitchen after use. Put Laundry in the machine and put it on before leaving. Empty commode. Make sure I am wearing my pendant alarm.
19:00 – 19:30 (30 minutes)
Help to undress and into night wear ready to bed. Take washing out of the machine and hang up. Empty commode. Make sure I am wearing my pendant alarm and my house is left securely locked.
Plus 1 hour per week to help me with my correspondence and to arrange and attend all health and social care appointments.
