Female Personal Care Assistant required to provide care to an elderly lady living in the Wheatley Hill area of Durham.

Various shifts 12 - 18 hours 9.50p/hr

Shifts available are
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 10 am - 4 pm - 18 Hours per week @ £9.50. Also will be required to provide holiday/sickness cover for other staff members which may include the very occasional overnight support.

OR 4pm- 10pm shift Wednesday and Thursday - 12 Hours per week @ £9.50. Also will be required to provide holiday/sickness cover for other staff members which may include the very occasional overnight support.

The lady has Dementia with limited mobility and requires support with her day to day living.

This involves a high level of:

· Personal care

· Manual handling

· Administration of medication

· Meal preparation

· Housework

· Hygiene tasks.

Due to the ladies dementia, the carer should have a patient disposition with a flexible approach to their role and be willing to complete any relevant professional development training.

The carer would be expected to be:

· Punctual

· Reliable

· Willing to work as a team member.

Experience would be preferred but not necessary as relevant training will be provided.

A DBS will be required but the cost will be paid for by the employer
