Female Personal Care Assistant required to provide care to an elderly lady living in the Wheatley Hill area of Durham.

Hours and rate

18 per week - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 10 am to 4 pm, however, this can be negotiated. Also will be required to provide holiday/sickness cover for other staff members which may include the very occasional overnight support.
£9.50ph

The lady has Dementia with limited mobility and requires support with her day to day living.

This involves a high level of:

Personal care
Manual handling
Administration of medication
Meal preparation
Housework
Hygiene tasks.

Due to the ladies dementia, the carer should have a patient disposition with a flexible approach to their role and be willing to complete any relevant professional development training.

The carer would be expected to be punctual. reliable and be willing to work as a team member.

Experience would be preferred but not necessary as relevant training will be provided.

A DBS will be required but the cost will be paid for by the employer
