Hi, i am a 45-year-old lady with Friedreich's Ataxia. I am wheelchair-bound and need help with all personal care. Unfortunately, my mum, who has been one of my main carers, has been taken into hospital, and we very much doubt she will be returning. I am advertising this job as temporary, under the circumstances, but I'm positive this will lead to permanent. I have a small team of 5 carers, who look after me on a 24-hour rota basis. I am looking for a confident, down to earth preferably mature female, to come and help with meal times and Saturday night shifts. The tea time shifts are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 4 pm until 9 pm. The Saturday shift is from 5pm until 7 am Sunday. The day rate is £9.30 and the sleep in the rate is £8.72. I love to watch my soaps and watching films, but as my eyesight and hearing are deteriorating so I need someone to help me watch and explain them. The daycare staff help wash, change, bath me, and all staff will be trained in hoist training. I have two sons, 14 and 17 years old. It is a home working environment, very relaxed, so i need you to take initiative in working alone on shifts.
