HOURS: 25 hours per week Monday to Friday, seeking female PAs to assist me with daily living tasks, 5 hours per day to be arranged between us.
flexible to be arranged with Employer, additional 24 hours throughout the year to support around attending the appointments as needed.
LOCATION: Leeds 5 Area.
Pay rate: £12.40 per hour at all times on weekdays.
PURPOSE OF ROLE:
I am in my forties & live my husband & 2 daughters who are 7 & 11 years old. I am looking to recruit a bright & bubbly female PA with a good sense of humour who is good around children.
I like to talk and engage with people, & I am paralysed from the waist down and use a wheelchair. I experience chronic pain & fatigue due to my health conditions, & it is very important my PA has an understanding of mental health, including depression & anxiety, as some days are more intense than others for me, & my PA needs to be aware & reactive to my needs in order to best support me.
SUPERVISION:
My PA will be directed by and accountable to me, in all aspects of their role. She must always respect my independence, and ask rather than assume, what assistance I require. A full induction and training will/can be given.
Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and proof of right to work in the UK checks.
Due to the nature of the role, strict confidentiality is required.
My PA needs to be able to cook, & I am lactose intolerant.
I like my independence, & it is very important that my independence is maintained. I like to get involved in things, & the PA role is about supporting & assisting me to maintain my independence.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE:
● General household tasks including laundry, mopping, hoovering, changing beds, ironing and other standard household tasks.
● Support with meal preparation
● Assist & accompany me with socialising and accessing the local community.
● Regarding my personal cares, if I need assistance with changing I will let you know.
● Having an understanding & awareness of mental health & anxiety
● Encourage me to take my medication
● Accompany me to attend GP & hospital appointments
● Plus any other reasonable requests.
