FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY Female or Male assistant required for 7 year old male. LEEDS LS26 4 hours per week
Can you want to make a difference and support a young boy with additional needs? Can you spare 4 hours a week to support a young person with accessing the community and building their independence skills? Hours can be flexible over weekends and school holidays, but to be arranged in advance.
A PA is required to support Henry who has a diagnosis of 16p11.2 micro duplication; global developmental delay; epilepsy.
Henry requires support with all personal care needs and will need support from a Personal Assistant to dress, toileting and feeding. Henry is able to communicate verbally to a reasonable degree but will not offer support/guide to the Personal Assistant through all tasks.
Henry will also require support with social and leisure tasks. Some hours will be to support Henry visiting places away from home.
There will also be the opportunity for additional hours in school holidays (8 hours a week).

Rate of pay is £9.18 per hour.
Henry enjoys bus rides and trips to the park, he loves the great outdoors and lots of sensory play. He would like to start accessing a range of fun activities in the community but will require support with a slow transition to busy activities with peers. He has limited verbal language so the use of visual supports is very important to him.
He will require close supervision with safety in public and road traffic as he has no awareness of this.
