Job Title: Personal Assistant
Hours: 15 hours per week
Rate of pay: £9.18 per hour
Location: at my home (LS19) and out in the community. 

Purpose of job:
A personal assistant (PA) is required to provide support for a lady with chronic health conditions in the home and community.  The PA will provide assistance with domestic household tasks and support the lady with day-to-day living, including meal preparation and cooking. Part of the PA role will include supporting to declutter the house and list items for resale online. The PA will need to be able to prepare and cook meals for the family. We are looking for a PA who is patient, friendly and is flexible with their hours of work. 

The PA will ideally enjoy working with both adults and children.  The PA role is intended to support the lady in taking her son to activities; these could include swimming, drama, and museums visits. Ideally the PA will be willing to get involved in family activities, including day trips to the coast. The family like to play board games together and the PA would facilitate and participate in these activities. Please note that the PA must like animals as the family has a cat and a hamster.

We are looking for a PA with previous experience, particularly in working with adults and children. We are happy to consider applicants without direct experience if you can demonstrate a desire to train and learn.

You will be reimbursed for any additional expenses but these will need to be agreed prior to engaging in activities.

Your role is also subject to any other reasonable requests that the employer might make.

Hours of work:
There will be some flexibility with the scheduling of shifts. There are up to 15 hours per week available; this could be split into short shifts or taken in blocks. Any scheduling will be discussed with you directly by the employer having consideration for the activity that is arranged. The shifts could be scheduled as follows –

- Monday – Wednesday = 5 hours per day

Main Duties:
- To support with groups for her son
- Load dishwasher including light household tasks
- Occasionally emptying litter tray for cat
- Support with laundry and cooking

- Attend work punctually and consistently.
- Maintain confidentiality at all time
- To be able to work unsupervised.
- Good communication and listening skills.
- To be able to take decisions and make sound judgements.
- To enjoy working with children.

Other
 - The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced DBS Check and be required to complete pre-employment online training.
