We are looking for an experienced Care / Support worker to join our team of Personal Assistants supporting one of our clients in the Rossendale area. The role will be varied, but you will be supporting our client living with Cerebral Palsy to lead an individual and independent lifestyle within their own home and the community. Our client has a wide range of interests particularly hydrotherapy, light sensory and crafts.
You will be working as part of a small team working 2:1 basis.
You will be working on a casual contract between the hours of 8am-5:30 (days of the week are flexible)

All training is provided and will consist of e-learning courses, face-to-face sessions, practical training, clinical training and competencies. The training is bespoke to the client and fully comprehensive for meeting their needs. We also provide refresher training on a regular basis, to keep your knowledge and skills current.
Who we are looking for:
You must be self motivated, well organised, reliable and an excellent team player. As well as being a naturally caring and compassionate person, we’re seeking Care / Support workers with experience of:
- Gastronomy care and administration of prescribed feed, fluid and medication
- Tracheostomy care to facilitate ventilation
- Having a clean, full driving licence is essential (There is use of a wheelchair accessible vehicle)
- Personal care, including incontinence pad changes and measures to maintain skin integrity
- Moving and Handling (including hoisting)
- Health crisis activity monitoring and administration of rescue medication.
- Domestic duties ( Food prep, laundry, cleaning)
- Support to travel to appointments, and participate in social activities including swimming.
- Monitoring of general health and well being, daily record keeping as such.
You should also have:
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness
